This is the most brilliant list I have come across. I've dealt with some of these plugins before but the new versions are closer to what I had initially wanted. Great job.

Ok - that looks like it was a lot of work. Great job! And very comprehensive.

Have you thought about how 2.7 might change any of this?
  • Drew · 1 year ago
By definition Wordpress is already a CMS. It does just that, manage your content. This is a nice post but the title is misleading.

Thanks for mentioning my WP-CMS Post Control plugin over at http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-cms-post...

I just thought you and your readers would like to know that it's just been updated to cover all the latest features introduced in WordPress 2.7 - it now not only allows to you control (and hide!) every aspect of the write post and page panels, but also new features of WordPress 2.7 like hide the favorites dropdown and the 'screen options' dropdown too!

I know many people find this plugin useful when trying to use WordPress as a CMS rather than a blog platform, and this plugin will really keep things simple for your clients and authors - which means less questions and easier training!

The All in One SEO Pack rocks -- installed and works perfectly. WP should have something similar by default. Anyone interested in making the most of their blog should have it. Thanks for the tip!
